‘The Cage of the Madman’ goes on tour and stops in Murcia

Date:

‘La Cage de las Locas’, the great Broadway musical comedy, directed by Àngel Llàcer and Manu Guix and a cast of 24 live performers and musicians, will tour nationally, stopping in Murcia. Víctor Villegas’ Regional Auditorium will host this Nostromo Live production from November 24 to 27. Starring Àngel Llàcer and Ivan Labanda, the show features choreography by Miryam Benedited. It was the super success of the Madrid and Catalonia theater billboard, which managed to exceed the number of 300,000 spectators and now it will tour several Spanish cities: Malaga, Bilbao, Gijón, Valencia, Zaragoza, Alicante, Córdoba, La Coruña, Seville, Majorca and Manresa.

It is one of the most important titles in Broadway history. Originally a play written for and starring the French playwright Jean Poiret, which premiered in Paris in 1973, this new staging offers two and a half hours of fun, added to the glamor of its grand sets and its 140 costume changes. ‘La Cage de las Locas’ proposes 13 songs that have marked the history of the genre, such as ‘Yo soy lo que soy’ (‘I am what I am’) or ‘Life begins today’ (‘The best of times ‘ ). For Llàcer, “‘La Jaula’ wants to share this joie de vivre that we often miss” and wants to transfer this positive energy to the stalls. A great optimistic song for individual and collective freedom. “His message is powerful and necessary in these times,” the promoters defend, claiming to have “the courage to swim against the tide in a world that imposes standard guidelines and behavior for everyone.”
