The couple of Raquel Berrios and Luis Alfredo is one of the collaborations that can be heard on ‘A summer without you’, the fourth album by the Puerto Rican
With only 30,000 subscribers on YouTube, Buscabulla joins Bad Bunny on the new reggaeton album. ‘Andrea’ is the title of the song that made this Puerto Rican collaboration. The artist released this Friday the 6th “A summer without you” to the delight of his “fans” who had not seen an album of his since 2020.
Although Bad Bunny released singles in the past year, such as “Yonaguni”, “De museo” or “Lo sorry bb”, which have become musical successes of 2021. Moreover, this did not take away the throne, because for the second year in a row and without a record he was again the most listened artist on Spotify in the world. But the singer’s fans longed for and asked for his fourth album. ‘A summer without you’ consists of 23 songs, on which you can listen to reggaeton, trap, romantic themes, merengue, dembow and latin rhythms mixed with electronic music. The most faithful woke up at 6am in Spain to enjoy Bad Bunny’s new work and discover new artists, such as The Marias of Buscabulla.
Raquel Berrios and Luis Alfredo del Valle form this duo who emigrated to the United States to start their musical career in 2014 with the release of their first self-titled EP. And from New York they tried their luck, but without forgetting their country, as they continued to perform music in Spanish. The pair moves between electropop, indie pop and experimental music, also offstage, offering a different Latin sound. Raquel on mic and Luis on guitar released a second ‘EP II’ just before returning to Puerto Rico, at one of the island’s worst moments. When the people of the country were fleeing Hurricanes Irma and María, Buscabulla decided it was time to return.
And only in 2020 they released their first album ‘Regresa’. The 11-track album brings together the Caribbean of his island and the alternative sound of the Big Apple, as his collaborations were born in New York. While Buscabulla focused on emerging groups on the smaller stage, he played at Coachella. Raquel’s slow voice, which effortlessly merges with the sound characterized by the use of the synthesizer, is transferred to ‘Andrea’, the collaboration that puts them in the musical spotlight thanks to Bad Bunny. In response to the reggaeton player’s first verses talking about a girl, Buscabulla sings freedom. “I don’t want anyone to tell me what to do” sings Raquel, like that Andrea who doesn’t care what they say. “Let them say something, I go up and down like the tide, I want someone who dares.” So there is no doubt that ‘Andrea’, written by both composers for those broken hearts, will have many include Buscabulla’s songs in their playlist.
