Pepe Lee and Alesa DJ are the other artists participating in the festival, which will pay tribute to the music of the 80s and 90s
The first edition of the Visor Fest has closed its bill with the incorporation of the legend of the Destroy Route, Fran Lenaers; composer, mixer and producer David Kano; from the eclectic Alesa DJ from Alicante and the local talents Fantabulosa (DJ from Cartagena who has participated in festivals such as SOS 4.8, B-Side, Ruidismo or FICC), Pepe Lee (started with vinyl at the end of 1989 and is a benchmark in the halls in the coastal area and the Mar Menor), and Kutxu DJ, who has toured all over Spain and is currently the resident DJ at Sala REM.
The rest of the gigs feature British indie rock band James, 1980s folkies The Waterboys, Scottish alternative rock group Teenage Fanclub, Mudhoney, one of the pioneering groups of the grunge movement; the English rockers Lightning Seeds, the punk rock combination New Model Army, the Granada-born Lagartija Nick and the Asturian Australian Blonde.
The festival of indie, rock and electronic music, held on September 16 and 17, promises a close-knit music session that is more like concerts and sessions in halls than mass concerts. Visor Fest is a festival that looks nostalgic in the face and celebrates it unceremoniously. It’s an event that pays tribute to the time between the 1980s and 1990s when big names in pop and rock history emerged and proliferated. It is a journey into the past without overlapping concerts, in the open air and without a main stage.
Tickets are already on sale on the official website of the event (visorfest.com) for a price of 59 euros, and tickets per day will be available in a few days.
