The Murcian replied with a comment on Pepe Rodríguez’s court in a program that featured Patricia’s playoff
The final chapter of Masterchef started strongly with two luxury guests: Carmina Barrios, of the latest ‘celebrity’, and Luna Zacharias, candidate for the eighth edition. Both attended one of the program’s most important tests, the robbery. Only Luismi and Claudia could extract up to 25 ingredients from their companions’ baskets at will. While the first was benevolent and honest and stole the same from everyone (including himself), Claudia had things very clear and decided to harm some more than others. With what they had left and a star ingredient, kimchi, they had to make a dish and some didn’t know how to cook it. Claudia, Luismi and Yannick were the worst in the test and received an ‘ultimatum’ from the jury.
The outdoor test this Monday had an expected event: the resit. It was in Segovia where the former applicants returned to the kitchens to try to regain a position in Masterchef. They had to prepare the dessert on the menu, while the participants shared the main courses between the blue and red teams. The cooking of the first was downright chaotic, as the reds won the test and escaped eviction. The resit also caused a lot of nerves, because everyone wanted to go back to the program. In the end, Patricia’s wine ice cream was the winner and the contestant rejoined her peers.
Among those who could not go to the gallery was Yannick from Murcia. As part of the red team, he faced Luismi, Claudia and Julia in a test that involved replicating a Pepe Rodríguez dish. At this point in the program, the challenges are already serious and any failure can lead to eviction, as it eventually happened. The recipe in question, a traditional fish recipe adapted to the present time, had a large number of elaborations. Yannick picked up a good rhythm from the start and chained all the steps to the end of the first and even conditioned the rest of the teammates.
His dish was very much appreciated by the jury and he was the winner of the test and also got an advantage for the next program. Luismi also got a decent replica of the original plate, while the final decision lay between Claudia and Julia, who didn’t achieve the required finesse and neatness. And since the smallest mistake leaves you out of Masterchef, it was in the end Julia who was expelled, who left with words of gratitude: «It has been like a rebirth for me, it has given me a breath of fresh air».
