Attempted murder of a five-year-old in Graz – and the boy’s mother is under suspicion. The 42-year-old Slovakian is said to have stabbed her son with a knife and seriously injure him.
The crime took place on Tuesday morning around 9.30 am in the Sackstrasse in the center of Graz. A neighbor called the police.
Officers from the Rapid Response Unit were able to arrest the woman at the crime scene. Police officers performed first aid measures on the seriously injured child until the rescue team arrived.
Son and mother in hospital
The five-year-old and his mother, who was also injured, are in hospital and their condition is unknown. The motive for the brutal act is still the subject of investigation by the State Criminal Investigation Service, it is said.
