Celebrities in sports, politics, music, theater and other worlds have voted for a heartbreaking video to promote positive mental health.
Co Tyrone Musical Theater star Harry Lambert has decided, after graduating from ArtsEd London and returning home, that he wants to do something for those struggling amid this global pandemic.
Speaking on Belfast Live, the 23-year-old explained that he got his biggest name in NI for sharing a very inspiring video.
“I love making things, being smart, being proactive and looking for a million things. I had a show scheduled when it was all over, I had a concert at Danganon Park and me.
“I started singing and recording some videos and putting them on stage and I’m very close to Eamonn McGarryth, who runs Redhill Media, and he directs me music when I do shows. I called him and said why not. We do it by not blocking one of Styles’ covers.”
“I’ve been thinking about it and love the music, I just saw it in the West End before I got home and sing a song. [You Will Be Found] A few times before the show and I thought it was perfect.
“So I started texting everyone I knew I had done before and there was a gap in the show where there was so little talk, and I called Alex MacFarlane, who is my assistant in everything I do, and asked him what we could do.” Here he came up with an idea. Get public figures and put them together and turn them into a great video with over 60 people involved.”
Harry said the aftermath of suicide in his hometown forced him to create a video letting people know they weren’t alone.
“This city, Coalesland in particular, is such a small area, but we committed suicide so badly, it’s a shame.
“There’s no other way to say it, it’s good that it wasn’t cool and embarrassing to say, but people need to know that everyone has already been affected by this pandemic in a negative way, so you just have to show that they are not alone.”
The video was a hit on Facebook in just a few days and was viewed by more than 20,000 people. Harry said his vision could not have been revived without the help of the entire team.
“Me, Eamonn and Alex were behind him on all three sides, but we couldn’t have done it in the video without the effort of the fantastic team of everyone, from the most famous person to the youngest actor. It was really a team effort. It’s impossible without every single one of them,” Harry added. .
