The Barcelona singer-songwriter Joan Manuel Serrat (1943) gave the first of his two farewell concerts in the Murcia region yesterday. After the mandatory break due to the pandemic, one of the members of the movement of the new Catalan song announced that he would give his last tour, “The vice of sing: 1965-2022”, to personally say goodbye to his fans. Serrat takes the stage again today at Murcia’s bullring (10pm, tickets are still available) to perform some of the most iconic songs of his career for the last time as ‘Mediterráneo’. His career has always been marked by the dissemination and support of Catalan and Castilian culture. Some of his most embraced albums were his tributes to Antonio Machado and Miguel Hernández. Today Joan Manuel Serrat withdraws from the stage, but not from life.
