Aliens, fishnet stockings, muscular men, makeup and lots of good music… The Artillery Barracks has a fun plan for today at 10pm: enjoy ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ (1974, Jim Sharman) on the big screen and outside. A year has passed since the last time this unique experience was lived in Murcia. For the public who missed it then, it is the perfect opportunity to spend a very special evening.
Within the programming for ‘In summer mode 2022’ of the Ministry of Culture of the Municipal Council of Murcia, the Artillery Barracks begins its summer film cycle dating back to the 1970s to remember the ‘midnight movies’ (midnight cinema), a cinematographic and social phenomenon that was a complete revolution. It is a tribute to those films that originated in small, dark theaters in New York where the audience was not only spectator, but also became the protagonist of the film. The 98-minute film will be shown in its original version, with subtitles in Spanish.
