The pinnacle of motorcycle mania

A dedicated audience will experience the musical feast of the artist of the moment on a memorable evening with incomparable dedication

The most anticipated show of the year has finally arrived in the province of Almería. Resalía, the artist on everyone’s lips for her constant innovation, who until now has played genres such as classical flamenco, trap, R&B, hip-hop, contemporary Latin American rhythms, electronic beats and reggeaton, presented her culminating work to date. for the general public at the Almería fairgrounds. All eyes on the music scene were on the stage that put one of the most ambitious shows of the moment to the test. The news broke a few months ago that Almería would be sharing a set with the most sought-after stadiums. Not only that, it would be a prelude to what they will all see later.

And it is that the artist from Sant Esteve Sesrovires will parade her lavish and new show through just 10 Spanish stages and, later, to 16 countries in an ambitious journey that will last until December 18. The work behind achieving this show was not one bit arduous.

One hundred people from the technical team, ten musicians and dancers, eight trucks with equipment to set up an impressive stage with an audiovisual display, three ‘sleeping cars’ for the tour staff, more than 150 involved local employees, from loaders and conductors, chefs, hotel service before the concert, security, toilets… Everything to ensure that this show is followed worldwide, lives up to the expectations of what the Motomami Tour is and will be.

And the fact is that ‘Motomami’ is the first of the three albums of the Catalan in which she talks about herself. In Los Angeles it was about death, in El mal querer, abuse and gender violence. Now Rosalía not only allows herself to talk about herself, about sex, parties, family, criticism, fame or jealousy, she allows herself to do that while having fun, experimenting, with humor, because now it’s hers and she can.

The public surrendered to his idol from the first moment. Very youthful, as expected, and brimming with energy, they knew the lyrics to each of the songs that played all the hot night, heat partly radiated by the unreserved fans. The lucky ones were able to enter with priority and reach the track area where they could be close to the performer.

Others, less fortunate, but no less enthusiastic about the performance, approached the gates that divided the hall in two. It was a quiet night in the rest of the capital, but there was no room for rest around the study. A light breeze and the fans eased the sweat, but not the hearts of the motomamis and motomamis. 12,000 people took the track fervently fighting to make their way to the front row, no easy task.

At 10 p.m. the long-awaited moment arrived. Rosalía took the stage with a brutal staging that opened the world tour with the heady ‘Saoko’. The powerful bass that characterizes the song rumbled in the chests of those in attendance. A dozen dancers wearing helmets with LED lights and spectacular lighting accompanied the rhythm of “Saoko papi Saoko” and started the jumps, which only stopped at the end of the show.

She was followed by Candy, who did not hesitate to get the audience to sing a cappella as a camera followed the singer in the foreground and with images of powerful visual value projected onto the two side screens. ‘Bizcochito’ was one of the main dishes. With his 8-bit tones and his lively choreography he sang the ‘tarará’ that made the Almerian public so enthusiastic.

The first tracks took a long time to get the perfect sound settings, but by the third, every problem was forgotten. There was also time for songs like ‘La Fama’, one of the most emblematic tracks on the album. Of course without the artist ‘The Weekend’, who could not attend for obvious reasons. It gave the artist time to think back to her vacations in Almería when she was only 8 years old and declared herself an unreserved fan of David Bisbal. A country, Almería, which he described as “of art”, after which he sang the song ‘Dolerme’ while playing the guitar.

‘Motomami’ provided spectacular central shots, with the dancers in turn forming a human motorcycle onto which Rosalía climbed to sing it.

“Last night’s night” brought in one of the most exciting moments when Rosalía came off the stage and passed the microphone to one of her admirers. The song was also one of the most sung by the public. Also ‘Diablo’ in which the red lights came into play and in which a special scene in which Rosalía cut her hair extensions.

During the hit ‘Hentai’ a piano came on stage, which created a beautiful atmosphere with its chords. The song, which caused so much controversy for its erotic metaphors, brought a moment of slowness with Rosalía’s melodious voice, which slowed the pulse of those present for a moment. The audience choirs accompanied one of the most popular hits with velvety softness.

‘The bad want’ was also present. ‘El techo en su mirá’ and ‘Malamente, with their flamenco rhythms, dazzled the oldest believers and those who had known her less long.

The Catalan artist has released two unreleased songs exclusively for Almería. The first of these is ‘Aislamiento’ with flamenco touches with motomamic nuances and a short version of ‘Blinding lights’ by The Wrekend. The second theme was not given a title during the performance. After this, ‘Como un G’ channeled the hearts of those present; Chicken Teriyaki stir them up to finish with ‘Cuuuute’. In short, the world tour premiere was a real success that did not leave anyone indifferent.
