La Mar de Letras, like the rest of the sections of La Mar de Músicas, will stop in the Dominican Republic this year. We offer a program that tries to give a polyhedral view of the literary creation of that Caribbean country, very unknown but with great variety and richness. And we do it with particular attention to the present and the future, but also to major milestones from the past, so important to understand the future of Dominican literature.
‘La Mar de Paco’ reads like a biography, an oral history built up on the basis of interviews, documentation and memory. Through its pages also moves the generation that made it possible in the frame of a photograph, that of a Mediterranean city that shines in the world with its lights and shadows with two beacons: the Roman Theater and La Mar de Músicas.
