Northern Ireland’s top three beauty queens have been revealed behind the most prestigious awards.
Pearl Beauty and Canadian founder Elana McGowan in the North Coast; Nail Technologist and Educator at Global Beauty Home, Elim, Ingrid Graham; Magravelt-based fashion influencer and fashion influencer Ashley Coburn has also been announced as the ambassador for the NI Beauty Excellence Awards 2022.
Every woman is known by her online followers and entrepreneurial spirit.
Awards will be presented in May to salons, hairdressers, clinics, spas, products and industry experts.
Launched last December and supported by West Coast Cooler and media partners Belfast Live and the Daily Mirror, the NI Beauty Excellence Awards will also be recognized by leading local professionals.
Paul Stafford, Linda Stinson, Katrina Doran and Dr. Mervyn Patterson will join Ambassador Ilana McGowan on this year’s awards jury.
It’s the second year of the Beauty Excellence Awards, and creator and organizer Sarah Weir says it’s incredibly important to shed light on an industry that has been deeply affected by the events of the past two years.

“It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly two years since our hairdressers, salons and clinics were told they had to close at night without support,” Sarah said. “They have silently circulated, regulated and followed instructions, all to keep their business running under the toughest conditions.”
The NI Beauty Excellence Awards highlight the resilience of people outside the industry, and salute those who have weathered the storm strategically, with clear ideas and a passion for moving forward.
