It doesn’t matter who wins the title – a company from Graz can already adorn itself with the World Cup trophy ++ Superstars as Tapedesign socks!
World champion? It’s still up in the air, it won’t be decided until Sunday. Only one thing is certain: that Austria will become world champions! Since the Graz company Tapedesign equips the players of all four semi-finalists with their special socks, the superstars fall into the products from Styria.
Whether it’s Alexis Mac Allister from Argentina, Andrej Kramaric from Croatia, Adrien Rabiot from France or Abdelhamid Sabiri from Morocco – they all swear by Tapedesign socks, and not just during the World Cup.
Mario Ofner, who runs the store together with Thomas Weber, Rene and Maurice Amtmann, personally brought the soccer players’ socks to Qatar and was a welcome guest in every team quarter. Why do the stars love their socks so much? The secret is the slip resistance due to studs on the underside. And they all like that the socks can be embroidered – for example, with the national flag and initials.
And how do you come up with tape design? “Good quality, of course, and a lot of word of mouth,” says Ofner.
Ivan Rakitic, one of the first to swear by the socks from Graz, helped a lot – the Croat acted as an “advertising medium” for his national team and his clubs (Barcelona, Schalke, Sevilla), thanks to which Tapedesign became popular. Now you are world champion!
