There are some very interesting aspects to the story that thousands of euros were found in plastic bags belonging to European Parliament Vice-President Eva Kaili. Of course, the audacity itself is shocking. But another question is allowed: why does the EU actually need 14 vice presidents?
With her plastic bag, the social-democratic champion not only reminded us that in the EU you can apparently stay under the radar for quite a long time without attracting further attention, but also that the European Parliament has a total of 14 (!) Vices. In times when every tax dollar is particularly painful, the question may be asked: do we really need them all?
