Tirol’s governor Anton Mattle (ÖVP) calls for a “reform of reform” with regard to the Austrian health insurance fund (ÖGK) – and therefore shoots against his own party. Because, under Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, it had forced the merger together with the FPö against a lot of criticism.
The merger was “a mistake,” Mattle said in the ORF press. You have to “take one or the other step back” and bring it back to the countries. In contrast to the federal government, for example, for example the Tyrolean cash register. In the federal states you can feel the shortages, “these are balanced,” the governor demanded.
According to Turquoise Blue, the reform of the money should have saved billions in costs. However, the ÖGK remains difficult for a shortage, recently chairman Andreas Huss demanded more money from tax revenues, as an alternative the costs must be increased. “The administrative costs have risen because the merger does not save money in the short term, but the costs,” says Huss.
In short, as a Governor he was behind the reform project of the triple coalition led by ÖVP and demanded that the levers were used, especially in the education sector. Here too, a structural clearance is needed, “moaning” communities should be relieved.
Apologetic
The federal Chancellor, Christian Stocker, spread Mattle Rosen. He was “the right ÖVP party leader after Sebastian Kurz and Karl Nehammer, who both had their time”. His reservations against Vice Chancellor Andreas Babler had occurred to the Spö politician. At the start of the negotiations of the coalition, the Tyroolean Babler and its ideologies in the media had refused: “Not”, Mattle became clear at the time.
Despite the hunting hunters who were very active in Tyrol, Mattle supported the tightening of the Weapon Act after the murder of a school of Graz. “In this case, the occasional legislation is also the right step,” he said behind the many federal government measures. For example, sports shooters or hunters should do the necessary competence tests. However, data such as that of the position of the federal armed forces should be used better.
