Sociologist and sex educator Barbara Rothmüller this time about the scientific dispute about squirting and female ejaculation.
Women are often surprised when they squirt a liquid during sex. Often they don’t know exactly what to think. “I didn’t even know it happened when it happened. It was only afterwards that we realized: Great, the mattress is all wet. It’s crazy how much liquid there is. What is it? Did I spray it all over me?” one young woman wondered.Like many women, she initially thought she—or her partner—had become aroused during sex because she had never heard of female ejaculation.
A study in progressive Sweden surveyed women who ejaculate regularly. The result: Many have never discussed it with anyone but their partner. The main reason for this is shame, as women cannot control the ejaculation of fluid during sex. Especially with new partners, women who ‘squirt’ (ie squirt) are often insecure.
While some respondents found the ejaculation itself uncomfortable, other women found it enjoyable, sometimes even a completely new experience of pleasure that brought them deep satisfaction. Women were particularly proud when their partners also loved female ejaculation. Some perceived her “sexual superpower” as beautiful and “extremely powerful.” As one woman in her mid-30s said in an interview, “I’m fascinated by it and I think it feels like an incredible power and a feminist statement, almost like throwing it in their face after all these years of suppressing female sexuality. ”
Since there is no reliable data on how many women squirt during sex, some imagine they are a rare species with superpowers. The others think they are hypersexual like a porn actress (usually staged as cumshots) – or are ashamed that they can’t seem to hold back their urine during sex. Over the years, much nonsense has been said about women’s sexuality and desire. It was already known that some women not only get wet when they are sexually aroused, but also ejaculate a large amount of fluid, but then forget about it, then surprisingly “rediscover” it and finally doubt it again. What is correct now?
It is a fact that some women produce a greater amount of fluid during sex. But this is where the knowledge ends. Where does the liquid come from and what is it made of? It is not exactly known. Medical sex research argues about what fluid is released when women ejaculate. While many women are adamant that the fluid is not urine, some discomfort remains. That’s a shame, because research shows that it is precisely this discomfort that makes the female pleasure of ejaculation an embarrassing experience for some women.
