There were scenes like in the thriller that took place in Tyrol on Friday evening: unknown professional burglars came in the Intersport branch and they really emptied. The damage goes into the hundreds of thousands – “the view is already directed backwards”. The company is locked up in emergency operation on Monday.
“I was shocked when I heard about the break -in our branch in Reutte,” says Karl Kaltenbrunner. The perpetrators would mainly focus on expensive branding items. “They have left all cheap!”
E-bikes, clothing, hundreds of couples shoes
“There are at least 25 to 30 e-bikes away. Other mountain bikes, high-quality sports and outdoor clothing and shoes have also been stolen. At least 300 to 400 pairs,” says Kaltenbrunner on the phone.
How high the damage sustained can not yet be quantified. The police recently spoke about a euro amount of six digitization. “The inventory is completed in the weekend. On Monday and Tuesday this is evaluated by our head office,” the owner emphasizes.
“Look is backwards”
The Intersport branch in Reuttener Lindenstraße blocked again on Monday at 9 a.m. for the first time since the coup. “However, only in emergency operation,” says the branch manager about the question “Krone”. Empty shelves are still erasing the photo in the store. The view was simple after the shock.
And also owner Karl Kaltenbrunner emphasizes: “Now we see what we have to recover and what we might be able to deduct from our other stores. In any case, we want to be fully equipped and fully sellable in Reutte by the end of the week.”
There is still no trace of perpetrators
In the night last Friday, the unknown perpetrators met the Intersport branch. They had received violent access to things through a side door. “A large part of our range was stolen,” said it at the time in a first reaction of branch management.
It is encouraged that there was a professional burglar gang that removed the prey with larger vehicles, if not with a truck. In any case, there is still no trace of the perpetrators, as the police explained on request on Monday. The research continues to work at full speed. People still hope for possible witnesses.
