The lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, returned to work this Monday after finishing his summer vacation, which he has enjoyed for the third consecutive year – the three summers since the start of the pandemic – without leaving the Basque Country.
In the coming days, the Lehendakari will focus on internal work and initially, his first public intervention will not take place until Tuesday of next week, the 30th, when he will appear before journalists after the meeting of the Board of Directors, the first after the summer vacation.
Urkullu’s last public appearance was on July 31, when he attended the Great Mass closing the Ignatian Year at the Sanctuary of Loiola, in Azpeitia.
Next week’s meeting of the Board of Directors, which will be held as usual at the Miramar Palace in San Sebastian, will mark the beginning of the political course in the Basque Country, which will be followed by the plenary meeting on general policies that the Basque Parliament will host on 22 September.
