the lehendakari, Inigo Urkulluis added condolence messages after the death of the Queen of England, Elizabeth II, and sent some lines to the British Ambassador.
In a post on his Facebook profile, the Lehendakari highlights “a life of loyal service” to the British people the sovereign leaves behind, who “has left mark the future of the UK and Europe“.
According to Urkullu, Elizabeth II was able to “win the favor of British citizenship and international respect”.
The Lehendakari expresses his “deepest condolences” on behalf of the Basque government and ends his message with a “rest in peace”.
Elizabeth II died yesterday at the age of 96, after reigning for seven decades.
