Ezker Anitza-IU is in talks with Podemos, Equo and independent parties to submit candidatures for the 2023 municipal and provincial elections in the more than 60 Basque cities in which the coalition of the two formations is now present.
Ezker Anitza-IU gathered in Bilbao this Saturday more than a hundred militants and sympathizers from all Euskadi assemblies to prepare for the local elections that will take place in May next year.
Ezker Anitza-IU’s goals for this election are focused on “activate left majorities in all councils and municipalities in which it is possible to fight and fight the privatization and outsourcing model of public services launched by the PNV and PSE governments”.
Iñigo Martínez Zatón, secretary of the organization of the party, has indicated that his group “very excited after the recovery of referees for the left in this process of addition, such as Bernardo Atxaga and Arantza Elizondo”, in connection with the inclusion of both in the Sumar project led by Yolanda Díaz.
