Garbine Ruiz and David Rodriguez submitted their candidacy to the Podemos primaries for the Mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz and the Provincial Council of Álava. They are currently the spokespersons of Podemos in the city council and in the General Assemblies.
Ruiz and Rodríguez presented themselves to the primaries for the “Bat Egin We Can” Project. They explained that their “open and inclusive” project aims to provide citizens with a “fairer and more progressive” model of city and territory, guaranteeing the maintenance of the welfare state and offering a “decent life” through the deployment of public services.
The process of Podemos primaries will be developed into Basque institutions between October 10 and November 3and the militants will determine the people who will lead the lists of the purple formation.
On the other hand, it remains to be seen whether the coalition between Podemos, IU and Equo will be repeated.
