This has been announced by the new general coordinator of the People’s Party, Elías Bendodo. This will be the first regional congress of the 11 that the party has planned in different areas.
The PP Congress in Madrid will be held on May 20 and 21an appointment that will end almost four years in which the regional leadership of the party has been in the hands of a manager and which will allow the president of the Community of Madrid to attend, Isabel Diaz Ayusoto lead the formation.
This has been announced by the new general coordinator of the People’s Party, Elijah Bendodoin a press conference in which he confirmed that after contacting the person in charge of the management company leading the Madrid PP, Pío García Escudero, he will hold the congress over the weekend of May 20 to 21.
Will this be the first regional congress of the 11 upcoming the party in different areas and that, as explained by Bendodo from the PP national headquarters, they intend to meet as soon as possible, if possible before the summer.
He pointed out that new municipal and regional elections are coming up in a year’s time and that the PP leadership “needs to be “greased” as they have to look for “the best candidates”.
It will be an upcoming National Governing Council that will officially convene these congresses, with the one in Madrid being presented as the most relevant, as its date was one of the reasons for the confrontation between Ayuso and the previous leadership of the party headed by Pablo Casado.
