EH Bildu’s general coordinator stated on Saturday that the multiple current crises have their origin in “the political and economic elite”. Likewise, he has asked to fill Bilbao on November 12, against the war in Ukraine and for the distribution of wealth.

EH Bildu held an event in Portugalete this Saturday, in which the party’s general coordinator, Arnaldo Otegi, referred to the war in Ukraine, inflation, rising energy prices and poverty. He has stated that the current military escalation must end and the war must be stopped “immediately”. With this he has emphasized that these problems have a responsibility; the political and economic elite.
Otegi has stated that “the things that happen are not a meteorological phenomenon”. Despite the fact that the aforementioned crises have often been called a “natural storm”, the party wanted to repeat this summer’s reflection, recalling that “in this city, in the state, in Europe and in the world an infinite number of structural tendencies which are now being confirmed”.
He emphasized that “the climate crisis, the rise of social inequality and the rise of authoritarianism they are not accidental, but the result of decisions by political and economic elites”.
“The things that happen to us and that will happen to us, do under the responsibility of a political and economic elitehe insisted, adding that “they are the responsibility of those who apply neoliberal policies and read the world from the perspective of the accumulation of money”.
For example, Otegi has called for a demonstration: coming November 12 in Bilbao against the war in Ukraine and for the distribution of wealth and national sovereigntybecause “there are alternatives” to what is happening as a “result of neoliberal policies” and “it is not a time for resignation, but for ambition.”
