The Deputy for Environment of the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council, José Ignacio Asensio, in his presentation as PSE-EE candidate for general deputy, assessed the work carried out by the department he leads, from addressing the “waste management problem” to “promoting renewable energy and energy communities”.

Asensio spoke after being introduced by the leader of the PSE-EE, Eneko Andueza, at a ceremony attended by, among others, the socialist candidate for mayor of Donostia-San Sebastián, Marisol Garmendia, and the deputy of the Spanish government in the CAV, Dennis Itxaso.

According to Asensio, there are “contradictions” in the representatives of EH Picture “between what they say and what they do”. He has assured that “they are still the same and have the inscription tattooed on their skin”.

Andueza, for his part, has once again focused on past policies such as waste management during the Bildu government in Gipuzkoa, as he believes that we must not forget where “everyone” has been in recent years and the “monumental mess that Bildu made with the waste”.

Andueza has presented Asensio, leader of Gipuzkoa’s PSE-EE and Regional Delegate for Environment, as the person who solved that “brown problem”, “bringing the area out of that mess” to “make it an environmental reference” “.

“Where we had a conflict, there are now jobs. We must not forget the problems that stifled Gipuzkoa at the time,” emphasized Andueza, who emphasized that this is the only Basque area with sustainability “strategies”against climate change and others related to the environment.
