Date:

Top topics: economy, energy, migration
When asked which topic would play the biggest role in their voting decision, a quarter (25 percent) named the economy (inflation, taxes, jobs, etc.) as their top priority, with 17 percent each citing the areas of energy and migration as the top priority. main. “Priorities have shifted considerably”
“People’s priorities have shifted significantly since the last election,” says Andrea Fronaschütz, head of the Austrian Gallup Institute, about the results of the research: “People are currently expecting politicians to solve problems that are very urgent, especially in the field of of inflation and energy supply. Issues whose impacts are perceived as less acute in everyday life, such as the climate crisis or gender equality issues, are less discussed in elections, and now so is the Covid pandemic.”

ÖVP in trouble – no less than majority believe in a crash
