The FPÖ opposes the use of the exhibition center in Salzburg as an emergency residence and calls for a turnaround in asylum policy.
For the FPÖ leader of Salzburg, Marlene Svazek, the use of the fair as an asylum residence is out of the question. As reported, State Councilor Martina Berthold (Greens) expects the exhibition center to serve as a shelter for migrants and refugees.
Svazek vapes: “It will certainly not be a short-term use. This will become permanent.” The PVV’s proposed solution would be a U-turn in asylum policy – including speedy procedures and return for obvious economic migrants.
The security interests of the population must be taken seriously. Svazek thinks that the overcrowded asylum seekers’ center in Bergheim should be a warning. Because: “The migrants will probably also not be able to be locked up by Mayor Preuner with his security service.”
