It is about the cause of Wien Energie. Old acquaintances of the SPÖ will appear in the soon to be set up U-committee. The ÖVP is also looking at ex-mayor Michael Häupl and ex-municipal councilor Renate Brauner.
Reunion with the SPÖ friends: old acquaintances from the town hall appear in the ÖVP’s evidence requests for Wien Energie. On nine pages, the People’s Party lists what and who is needed for the U-Commission. Among other things, as reported, the party wants insight into the mobile phone of Mayor Michael Ludwig.
But not only his chats are screened, also those of alderman Finance Peter Hanke and alderman Transport Ulli Sima.
Minutes of the meetings of the Supervisory Board
That is not enough for the ÖVP. Not only does she want detailed insights into the loan agreement between the federal government and Vienna and the purported clean bills of the institutes PricewaterhouseCoopers, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Ithuba Capital, but also minutes of the meetings of the municipal utility’s supervisory board.
And they are also called:
Ex-mayor Michael Häupl and ex-municipal councilor Renate Brauner. The ÖVP demands the “complete analogue and electronic correspondence” of the two regarding “the exercise of the property rights of the Municipality of Vienna towards Wiener Stadtwerke AG and Wien Energie GmbH”. They too must be invited as witnesses, the ÖVP demands.
