Structural corruption, icy manipulation and unscrupulous abuse of power: with the front page of the “Krone” in hand, FPÖ top candidate Udo Landbauer calls for the resignation of Johanna Mikl-Leitner.
As reported, ORF Lower Austria’s state director Robert Ziegler allegedly intervened on behalf of the head of state on several occasions. Investigation of the “Dossier” came to a similar conclusion, according to which the head of state has appeared more often in the news program “Lower Austria Today” than all other parties combined. However, the ORF veteran denies the allegations and speaks of a “campaign against himself”.
At Thursday morning’s press conference, Landbauer spoke of structural corruption, ice-cold manipulation and unscrupulous abuse of power. For him it was crystal clear: “The liberals in Lower Austria demand the immediate resignation of Johanna Mikl-Leitner as governor.” He compares Mikl-Leitner’s abuse of power to a quote from Abraham Lincoln: “If you want to recognize the character of a person, give him Power.”
“Linked, veiled, hidden“
Johanna Mikl-Leitner’s resignation is the “need of the hour”. She is the mastermind behind the ÖVP system, which has abused voters’ trust and stolen her position as governor. “We will not elect Johanna Mikl-Leitner as governor of the state,” Landbauer stressed. As chair of the state’s music school advisory board, she has also “covered, veiled, and concealed” allegations of harassment in the music school area.
FPÖ MP openly campaigns for Mikl-Leitner
But there is also rumbling in the FPÖ itself. Ina Aigner, a member of the state parliament, – as reported – shot at farmers in a video message, accusing them of “arrogance and lust for power”.
