After the resignation of several councilors from the majority and from the opposition, they had to repeat the municipal elections and today the first round takes place. The neighbors will have to choose between three electoral lists.

About 5,000 inhabitants of Senpere (Lapurdi) are called today to vote in the municipal elections. In October 2022, 10 Majority Councilors resigned and five were elected. In December, all members of the opposition also resigned and, as a third of the councilors remained uncovered, they had to reconvene elections.
The first round will take place on Sunday. The polling stations are open until 6 p.m. and a choice is made between three electoral lists: Elkarrekin Senpererentzat (of the candidate Dominique Idiartecurrent mayor), Hats Berria (from the abertzale candidate Christophe Jaureguy) and Egin Senpererentzat (from the opposition candidate Bernard Elhorga).
Unless a candidate obtains an absolute majority, the the second round of the elections will take place on 26 February.
