Do you know Gerald Fleischmann? Sebastian Kurz’s former press spokesman and media official has just written a book. That is unusual, because usually the politicians do it themselves. From former Chancellor Kurz to former Federal President Heinz Fischer. Or Marco Pogo as head of the beer party. Or Barack Obama and Boris Johnson.
1. It is of course spicy that Fleischmann and Kurz are both suspects in investigations by the Public Prosecution Service. Incidentally, Boris Johnson was fined in 2022 after illegal luxury parties during the Corona period. At least with Fischer and Obama, Dominik Wlazny, aka Marco Pogo, has in common that we know nothing about possible charges against them. But why do politicians write books?
