Haslauer took over the electricity price issue during the election campaign. This irritates the competitors and the ex-ORF country manager.
Even the former ORF state director Christoph Takacs was not indifferent to the ÖVP’s latest PR ploy in the upcoming election campaign. In harsh, direct terms, he attacked ÖVP governor Wilfried Haslauer on Sunday. What happened?
On Friday it was announced that the Labor Chamber (AK) will present an expert opinion on the increase in electricity prices at Salzburg AG on Monday. Governor Wilfried Haslauer took over the matter over the weekend and instructed the board of Salzburg AG to monitor prices. Officially, it was about the ruling on the electricity prices of the Verbund. The fact that Haslauer got ahead of the AK was probably a desired side effect.
Ex-ORF state director is now a private individual
This did not go down well with the political competition. Criticism came from all sides, especially because Haslauer, as chairman of the supervisory board, also approved the electricity prices. The SPÖ saw a “cheap game”, the Neos in Haslauer’s later initiative an “indictment against poverty”. FPÖ leader Marlene Svazek wrote on Twitter: “The ÖVP is throwing away its nerves.”
That is what ex-ORF state director Takacs called on the scene, who sharply criticized the state governor on the platform. He has been private for over a year and is no longer on the ORF, so he can now bluntly express his opinion, says Takacs at a request from ‘Krone’.
