Continue the controversy over memory webs of some municipalities. The PSE-EE spokesman in the Basque Parliament, Ekain Ricohas assured that his group transferred the rejection to the memory web to the mayor of Galdakao before making it public: “When we saw that there was no response, we made it public.”
In an interview with Radio Euskadi’s program “Boulevard”, he reiterated the Basque socialists’ opposition to equating victims and perpetrators on the same web page, “without any kind of context”. Moreover, it believes that this violates the right to truth, dignity and justice of the victims of terrorism.
According to him, what happened deserves an “absolute rectification” based on the absolute differentiation of victims and perpetrators, so that they do not appear on “the same plane”.
The socialist spokesman has shown his willingness to talk to Aranzadi as long as victims and perpetrators are differentiated.
Yesterday, Thursday, the Aranzadi Science Society defended that it created the local web pages of the “Oroimena” project according to criteria approved by the Basque government, something the Gogora Institute does not share, and was open to “possible changes”.
