Neos state spokeswoman Andrea Klambauer and the entire Salzburg state team will officially announce their resignations this morning.
Sunday’s election defeat, in which the neos were expelled from both the state government and the state parliament by 4.2 percent, is not without consequences. At a press conference today at 10:30 am, they want to share more details about the party’s reorganization.
After missing the move to Carinthia in March, the Pinks now have to say goodbye to a state parliament for the first time in their history. Salzburg was the first country where Neos – before Vienna – was part of a state government. Top candidate Andrea Klambauer was also a state councilor in the dirndl coalition formed in 2018. Instead of the Neos, the KPÖ is now going to the state parliament.
