It is not surprising that FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl found sharp words for the key points that the federal government put forward for tackling the corona virus. Black and green are again trying to shirk responsibility for their “irresponsible corona policy” and “get their heads out of the noose”. Kickl announced: “But we will not allow the ÖVP and the Greens to get away so easily.”
According to Kickl, the timetable for the corona reconciliation process presented by the federal government confirms the FPÖ’s fears that the government does not really care about conscientiously working through the past three years. “A few studies on the media and the role of political advisers – all for half a million euros.”
Kickl calls again for new elections
According to Kickl, a real reappraisal could only take place through the resignation of the government and the subsequent elections: “All citizens were victims of this government. The critics of the measures were portrayed as lunatics, right-wing radicals and aluminum hat wearers, but those who adhered to the government’s guidelines are also victims of these guidelines because they were promised things that ultimately did not work – such as the statements about the supposedly high protective effect of the corona vaccination.”
FPÖ boss for Corona U committee
In that context, the FPÖ party chairman renewed the call for a parliamentary corona investigation committee: “I am confident that after the next national elections we will be in such a strong position that we can only use this committee. Then it is guaranteed that we can process all dubious processes related to procurement or COFAG financing and hold accountable those who have benefited from the Corona madness.”
Government is working on Corona: Report at the end of this year
The announcement of the corona pandemic by the government officially started on Thursday. Essentially, a sociological analysis from the Academy of Sciences on topics such as scientific skepticism and polarization is planned. The opinion of the population is obtained through in-depth interviews. The process should be completed by the end of the year. The new epidemic law should also be available by then.
The measures could have saved lives, but also led to polarization and uncertainty in society, according to Edtstadler.
They don’t want to put anyone to shame, they just want to shake hands, even if some reviews lead to different opinions.
