Aragonés has demanded that the president of the Spanish government “there is coming a turning point” in the management of this matter and that, if he believes in a dialogue with the Generalitat, he will remove responsibilities related to espionage in order to restore trust with the Catalan government and resume the negotiation process to resolve the Catalan conflict.

“If the will to negotiate from the state government and President Sánchez is real, it is essential that all doubts and all suspicions about who ordered the espionage, for what purpose and who had access to the information are clarified. of the state government, the dialogue has really come about, it is necessary that they are purged and that the corresponding responsibilities are taken,” he demanded.

The Catalan president has claimed that since being sworn in as head of the executive, he has made an “unequivocal commitment to open a process of dialogue and negotiation to resolve the political conflict” in Catalonia.

However, he has criticized the fact that this commitment to the negotiations is “not being answered by the state government”, something on which he expressed disappointment.

For example, he referred to the management that Sánchez is making of the Pegasus case and criticized that the indignation and the Measures taken before the espionage that hit the President of the Government and the Secretary of Defense, Margaret Oakswere “diametrically opposed” to the position they held before the wiretapping of Independentistas.

When asked whether the ERC will vote against all government initiatives in Congress until the Pegasus case is resolved, as happened with the anti-crisis decree, the Catalan president replied that it will be analyzed “case by case”but has warned that it will be in high demand.
