In today’s plenary session, Thursday, the Congress of Deputies has approved the bill that aims “to prevent and reduce food losses and waste”, establishes a hierarchy of solution priorities and responds “to the responsible production and consumption objective of the 2030 Agenda”.
After approval, the initiative follows will continue processing it parliamentarian in the senate. According to Article 90 of the Constitution, the last two months have time to approve, veto or amend the text.
In the event of any change, the text must return to Congress under the ruling of the House of Representatives. After that, the law would be ready for publication in the BOE and entry into force.
