But the party board was blocking – not the members, but the deputies should finally vote at the party conference in Linz who should lead the SPÖ in the coming years. Who can still avoid black and blue?
And that could be Doskozil’s strength. His supporters hope that his astute migration policy will garner enough votes for Herbert Kickl, who will ride the wave of success. “The SPÖ must become strong enough to prevent black and blue in the federal government,” he explains his plan. An ambitious plan, because: the FPÖ is currently in first place at a comfortable distance.
