The sovereign coalition has presented its roadmap for the coming years in which it advocates building a Basque alternative with different sectors capable of proposing “structural solutions” to the country’s economic and social problems.
EH Picture has presented her political project for the coming years, in which she will offer an open alternative “to all sectors that want a better country”based on sovereignty and the change of the productive model.
The pro-sovereignty coalition set out the details of its proposal at a political event held this afternoon at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, where the general coordinator, Arnaldo Otegichas denounced that “this country is in stagnation and on its way to decline”.
In the current situation, with a war in Ukraine and after a pandemic, Otegi has regretted that the institutions are only trying to return to the previous normality, because of “mere indolence”, but warned that “the new normal is taking place in a more unstable and dangerous world, which has persisted”
Otegi has highlighted three factors of the crisis: the general impoverishment of the popular and middle classes, the struggle for natural resources and the growth of authoritarianism.
Faced with this situation, he stated that EH Bildu will bet on “a Basque solution, based on Basque values”, for a country that is “standing still and on the way to decline”.

Otegi has opted for “recovering the good name of a word: radicalism. Ours is a justification of radicalism to go to the root of the problems and propose structural measures, and not to take measures that would change the situation of relieve people for a few months. “We have a cautious, responsible radicalism that is not afraid to face ideas, but also aware that it must join forces and come to an agreement, and this is the radicalism project we propose for the country,” he indicated.
EH Bildu will”build bridges with all sectors that want to make a better country, because we are aware that we have to join forces and make agreements; we can’t do it alone,” he said.
“It is not a biased offer” but the search for “own solutions”. “We are denying the two states (Spain and France) and the economic elites any right to make decisions. We must build an alternative that will channel the majorities that already exist in the country and that is based on other values,” concluded Otegi.
