Differences in approach mark the beginning of the ‘three’ negotiations in Navarre

Date:

Geroa Bai has warned that the documents PSN and Contigo-Zurekin gave them containing only the content of their two previous encounters were “somewhat vague” compared to their “clear proposal”.

The three parties that initially showed a willingness to study the reissue of a coalition government in Navarra, PSN, Geroa Bai and Contigo-Zurekin, shared initial work proposals in their first “three” meeting, with differences in focus between the first two, mainly.

At the end of the meeting, in a statement to journalists, the PSN spokesperson, commissioned by María Chivite to lead the negotiations, said: Ramon Alzorrizappreciates the “progress in certain areas” that this first meeting of the three games together has meant.

He has assured that they arrive “with the desire to agree, to have a plural, strong, cohesive government”, although he has also warned of his desire work “discretely” from now onin contrast to the agreements to date, where journalists wait for later statements and flee from “a confrontational dynamic”.

Asked about the criticism of gero bai Due to the absence of the PSN leader and presidential candidate, María Chivite, from these meetings, Alzórriz has defended that each political group has “the opportunity to choose the negotiating team they are considering”. “I’m not going to tell him why Uxue Barkos didn’t come today. I think those are banalities that people don’t understand,” he warned.

For his part, and given the absence due to the broken fibula of Uxue Barkos, by Geroa Bai Pablo Azcona has warned that the documents PSN and Contigo-Zurekin gave them containing only the contents of their two previous encounters were “somewhat vague” compared to the “clear proposal” with which their formation arrived.

They contributed a text with “17 areas and more than 100 specific measures for the next legislature”, alongside a proposal for a methodology to tackle the problems sectorally and, if necessary, with experts in each sector.

His proposal to “go down, go to concrete measures and, moreover, do it sectorally” could be based on the programmatic agreement agreed by the three formations in 2019, although he has taken note of the “unwillingness” of the PSN accepted the suggestion of sectoral meetings and it has influenced Geroa Bai’s desire to obtain a “substantive agreement” which need not necessarily be extensive, “but concise and specific”.

For its part, Contigo-Zurekin’s spokeswoman, Alfaro beganwelcomes the fact that “finally” the meeting takes place with representatives of the three formations, “they talk about the programme, the what and how of the proposal that we are going to hand over to the Navarrese men and women”.

In contrast, the President of the Provincial Parliament, Unai Hualde, will start this Tuesday the consultation round with the spokespersons of the political parties or political groups with parliamentary representation, with the aim of proposing, if appropriate, a candidacy for the presidency of the Government of Navarre.
