After the election of the new chairman Andreas Babler in early June, the SPÖ has completely restructured its communications team: Raphaela Pammer is Babler’s press spokeswoman. From 2014 to 2016 she was responsible for the press work of the late Health Minister Sabine Oberhauser and then moved to the communications industry.
Luca Kaiser will be the spokesman for club president Philip Kucher in the future. The son of the Carinthian SPÖ governor Peter Kaiser was previously a press spokesman in the parliamentary club and worked there for Kucher. Alexandra Hopf, who also worked for a long time in the communications department of the Red Club, was put in charge of the press department of the Parliamentary Club.
With Sigrid Rosenberger, a face also known in the media industry, she takes on the role of spokesperson for deputy club president Julia Herr. Rosenberger has held many different positions in the SPÖ in recent years, including in the parliamentary club and as a spokeswoman for the federal party. Theresa Schobesberger will speak to deputy club president Eva-Maria Holzleitner in the future.
It was already announced in mid-June that Patricia Huber would replace Stefan Wenzel-Hirsch, who had been head of communications for many years, as part of the reorganization. Huber previously worked as editor-in-chief of Kontrast.at, the online magazine of the parliamentary club SPÖ.
