Acting President of the Foral government, María Chivite, celebrated this “historic milestone because Franco’s dictatorship stripped us of this power more than six decades ago and we finally regained it through dialogue and institutional loyalty.”
As he explained, the transfer will take place with a “multi-year calendar” and he has pledged to provide a “quality, close-knit, efficient and modern service adapted to the realities of our community”.
In addition, it announced the call for a public vacancy for 100 provincial police officers, as well as the development of training actions during the summer.
