The unions with representation at the negotiating table have been on strike for two days in recent weeks to demand wage increases in line with the CPI and company benefits.
ELA has expressed its “satisfaction” with the follow-up by the Bizkaia construction workers to the second of the two days strike convened separately by all unions with representation at the negotiating table to demand the agreement wage increases in line with the CPI and corporate earnings.
The union, which gathered this Friday in front of the Ascobi employers’ headquarters in Bilbao’s Plaza del Sagrado Corazón, warned during the mobilization that “will not accept salary increases below the real CPI”.
In its assessment of these two new strike days last Thursday and today Friday, ELA has the support for the strike given by the employees in the sector and recalled that this employer on 27 June during the meeting with Ascobi “He did not change his proposal and blocked the negotiation”they have criticized.
Finally, and in his opinion, it is “absolutely necessary to activate the sector”who has again responded to the union’s call, so that if the Ascobi employers “continue to block negotiations and do not want to bring about any improvement, neither in wages nor in other labor aspects, ELA” considers it necessary to bet on the mobilization until propose real improvements to employers”.
