A mudslide between the train stations of Roppen and Imst-Pitztal in the Tyrolean Oberland has been blocking the train since Tuesday evening. A rail replacement service was established. It is not yet clear how long the ban will remain in effect.
On the ÖBB railway line between the stations Roppen and Imst-Pitztal there has been a line interruption since Tuesday evening due to a mudslide and the undermining of protective structures. Therefore, a rail replacement service was set up between Ötztal Bahnhof and Landeck-Zams. Travel time can be extended by up to an hour. According to ÖBB, lying is currently being done to assess the situation. A first forecast is expected later today.
The duration of the ban is therefore currently unpredictable. Due to the route interruption, there are also some changes to the timetable. ÖBB asks travelers to inquire about planned connections before starting their journey.
