The European Parliament has confirmed that it will send parliamentary missions to Israel – the country where the NSO company, which owns Pegasus, comes from – and to Hungary and Poland, whose governments have admitted to buying the espionage program.

The European Parliament is examining the possibility of: send a mission to Spain to analyze cases of political espionageas confirmed by several parliamentary sources to the EFE agency.
The option was raised today at the Pegasus Program Coordinators’ Meeting.
Instead, it has been confirmed that the European Parliament will send parliamentary missions to Israel -country where the company NSO, owner of Pegasus, comes from- and Hungary and Polandwhose governments have admitted the purchase of the espionage program and with whom Brussels has several files open for violation of the rule of law.
Tuesday’s meeting also raised the possibility of sending another mission to the United States.
The scandal over the cases of political espionage was settled today with the resignation of the director of the National Intelligence Center (CNI), Paz Esteban, who will be replaced by the Secretary of State for Defence, Esperanza Casteleiro.
