Navarra and the state close the transfer of the management of the IMV

The President of the Government of Navarra, María Chivite, said that Navarra’s assumption is “another step in improving services to citizens”. The agreement has the support of all parliamentary groups.

The Council of Transfers between the State Administration and Navarre reached an agreement this Thursday, so that the Autonomous Community management of the Minimum Vital Income Since October 1.

From that day on, the Department of Social Rights must have the equipment and resources to carry out all the functions currently performed by the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) with regard to information and guidance of persons, processing of applications, recognition of rights, payment of amounts, control and follow-up of files.

The President of Navarre, Maria Chiviteand the Minister of Territorial Policy of the Spanish Government, Isabel Rodríguez, set out the details of the agreement in a press conference in which they underlined the importance of the step taken for Navarra to take on this advantage, which the unanimous support from the parliamentary groups navarros.

Chivite has maintained that it is a “strong measure of social cohesion” and has emphasized that Navarre’s assumption of a “another step in improving services to citizens”

The regional president explained that this agreement “has objectives that are shared by the two governments” and stressed that “the current international context reaffirms to us that any decisions we can make to avoid and close gaps, we must make”.

It has also stated that the government of Navarre has “accredited experience” in managing this type of management and has pointed out that guaranteed income recipients have agreed to 40% more employment contracts in the past year, in addition to The Executive will launch a new social and labor inclusion programme of the recipients of these grants.

For his part, Elizabeth Rodriguez has pointed out that “signing in Navarre presupposes the completion of previous work” and has pointed to the “cooperation and co-governance” between administrations. “Navarra was at the forefront and had taken measures that set an example for the government of Spain,” he said.

The minister stressed that Minimum Vital Income recipients will see the amount increase by 15% until June “because of Putin’s war”.

“This measure” benefit 6,000 householdsand we especially care about the more than 7,000 boys and girls who benefit from this benefit,” said the minister.
