According to the postal service, the request will facilitate management of documentation delivery in cases where a change of address has been requested.
Correos has asked the Central Electoral Council to extend the deadline to tomorrow, Friday, July 21 at 2 p.m. to deposit the ballot by mail, postal sources have confirmed to the bureaus. In this way, the Central Electoral Committee will have to decide whether to extend the deadline for depositing this vote by mail, which ended today, July 20.
According to Correos, the request for this extension is intended to facilitate the management of reissues of election documents, in cases where they first indicated a delivery address and then requested to receive their election documents at a different address.
Similarly, this morning they also reported that 91% of the 2,622,808 voters who asked to vote by mail (about 2,400,000) had already exercised their right. But another 230,000 citizens who registered to vote by mail had not exercised their right to vote this morning.
