However, Junts and PSOE continue to negotiate to finalize all details of the negotiations.
The PSOE and JxCat have reached an agreement in principle on the congressional table, which according to Catalunya Radio would pave the way for the election of Socialist Francina Armengol as Speaker of the House of Commons.
The director of Junts has been meeting electronically since 8 a.m. to determine the direction of the vote that will tip the balance of the vote in Congress.
During this meeting, JxCat Secretary General Jordi Turull informed the party leadership that there is a principle of agreement to invest Armengol, although there is still one point to be resolved in the negotiations with the socialists.
At the moment, they have not officially disclosed what are the agreements reached between both formations, nor what is the point of friction that they have not yet resolved.
JxCat’s “yes” would see the progressive bloc reach a total of 178 supporters, including the ERC’s favorable vote, though Republican sources this Wednesday denied an agreement with the PSOE and asked not to take their votes for granted.
