This Friday will be the inauguration ceremony of the councilors who will be part of Navarre’s new government, after the socialist María Chivite took office as Navarre’s president.
The inauguration ceremony, which will take place in the Throne Room of the Palacio de Navarra, will start at 11am.. At the end, the traditional photo of the new government of Navarre will not be taken on the steps of the palace garden, as José Luis Arasti will be appointed and will take office as Minister of Economy and Finance once he is relieved of his current responsibility as government deputy in Navarra by the Council of Ministers at the end of this month.
Navarre’s new government will consist of 13 aldermeneight corresponding to psnfour to Gero Bame and one to With you Navarre. There will be three vice presidencies held by the three government partners.
13 ministries and 3 vice presidencies
– Félix Taberna (PSN) will take on one of the vice presidencies and will be director of the Presidency and Equality Department.
– Amparo López (PSN) will lead the Department of Public Function, Interior and Justice.
– Óscar Chivite (PSN) will be in charge of the Territorial Cohesion Department.
– Carlos Gimeno (PSN) will repeat at the Ministry of Education.
– Mari Carmen Maeztu (PSN) will remain in the Department of Social Rights and Employment.
– José Luis Arasti (PSN), hitherto a government representative in Navarra, will now head the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
– Juan Cruz Cigudosa (PSN) will also repeat at the Department of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation.
– Rebeca Esnaola (PSN) will be in charge of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
– Ana Ollo (Geroa Bai) becomes Vice President of the Government and Advisor to the Ministry of Civil Relations.
– Fernando Domínguez (Geroa Bai) is given command of the Ministry of Health.
– Mikel Irujo (Geroa Bai) becomes director of the Department of Industry, Ecological Transition and Digital Business.
– Jose Mari Aierdi (Geroa Bai) will be in charge of the Department of Rural Development and Environment.
– Begoña Alfaro (Contigo Navarra) will assume the third vice-presidency and will be director of the Department of Housing, Youth and Migration Policy.
