The consultation organized by the Monarchy of Republic State Popular Consultation Platform was held across the state this Saturday. Catalonia, Navarre and Andalusia, the communities where participation was higher.

From the data provided by the Platform this Sunday, it appears that in total 724 tablesin which they voted 81,617 people and that 76,106 expressed support for the republic, 4,731 for the monarchy, and 780 voted blank or zero.
The consultations were supported by various political formations, such as Podemos, IU, the PCE and anti-capitalists, and were opposed by Vox and PP, who had sent letters to numerous town halls requesting that these consultations not be allowed on the street.
Some representatives of political parties and institutional positions took part in the consultation, including the mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau.
The communities where greater participation was recorded were: Cataloniawhere 15,599 people voted; Navarra (13,437 people); Andalusia (12,889 people); and Madrid (9979 persons).
The platform that promoted this consultation has appreciated that this “important day of democratic participation and free expression” could be held and that it would proceed normally and without any relevant incident.
However, he pointed out that in some places anti-democratic forces have tried to block the referendum, calling on the provincial government sub-delegation in Alicante and the municipalities of Martorell, Hospitalet de Llobregat and Salou in Catalonia. , as well as the municipality of Los Alcázares in Murcia, where “a fascist group” prevented votes in a polling stationaccording to this platform.
