The current political lecture ‘Club 3’ is all about Chancellor Karl Nehammer’s citizen video. Katia Wagner, information director at krone.tv, sees this as an “inelegant aloofness,” replies “Krone” columnist Rainer Nowak, setting the rumor mill in motion when he asks, “Why has the video been released now?”
For Nowak, the leak was “a bit strange.” He assumes that “someone deliberately pressed the button” because the video featuring the controversial Burger Sayer appeared shortly after the presentation of the autumn campaign. Yet it is important for the columnist: “Pretending that people in Austria are freezing to death and starving is simply not true!”
Buffet for politicians, burgers for citizens
krone.tv information chief Katia Wagner sees it differently. For her, it was a ‘low point in this election campaign’ to be angry about the fact that children do not get hot food and that women work part-time. And further: “Politicians who eat from the free buffet at party events and advise citizens to eat hamburgers – that’s bizarre!” Wagner had also expected the Minister for Women and Family Affairs to correct the allegations about women.
“FPÖ does everything right”
Puls 24 editor-in-chief Stefan Kaltenbrunner is certain: “Nehammer is not going away from that!” According to him, no party can support the FPÖ: “SPÖ and ÖVP really have to dress warmly. During the fall tour, thousands of people came to see Kickl. “They love everything and he can afford everything in his speeches at the moment.” The other parties currently have no answer to the FPÖ’s success.
“Uncle of the Heart” Andreas Babler?
Domestic policy journalist Erich Vogl also agrees. The FPÖ is currently making “no mistakes”. However, the SPÖ has not yet reached the population. Contrary to the recommendations in the SORA strategy document that emerged, Vogl would advise the red boss Andreas Babler to lease the attribution ‘Uncle of the Heart’ for himself. The character of a ‘Robin Hood’ who steals from the rich would suit him well. Does the SPÖ still use this slogan?
