78-year-old Van der Bellen shows no signs of fatigue and it is therefore believed that he will request a new term in the Hofburg this fall. The question of whether a decision on a re-election has already been made also declined to be discussed in the presidential office at the APA on Thursday.
The video, which was posted online Thursday afternoon under the account “The Candidate”, features professional footage of Van der Bellen accompanied by the classic “Should I stay or should I go” by English punk legends The Clash. “You have to let me know if I should stay or go” – “let me know if I should stay or go,” says the video.
